 | Renamer 1.7 | | Rename a group or all files in one pass. Rename extensions, base names, or both. "Common", "progressive" (number), and "list" formats available. A "progressive" starts at "001" or "01" (ex. "PICT-001.JPG" or "PHOTO-01.JPG") unless "continue progressive" (later additions). List of filenames, saved via the command, "DIR >FILES.LST" (ex) can be used as security to allow you to "camouflage" files, then restore their original names. |

  | MaxDIR 2.28 | | This is a DOS DIR command alternative that shows files in 1, 2, 4, or 6 columns and colorizes files by their extension: EXE files are light cyan, COM files are light green, TXT and DOC files are white, and so on. It also shows disk percentage used, disk usage, file usage, drive type, and more. It is designed for anyone who uses the command line in DOS, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Mac (prompt), or any computer that has a DOS emulator. It allows for the viewing of hidden/system files and show dirs separated from files. Version 2.28 is fully customizable, and you can change all display colors and functions. You can set up to 25 different configurations using the new included MaxDIR Config utility. |
|
  | Directory Comments 1.6 | | Add descriptions about files you have. "DC" is an alternate to "DIR" command to see a list of files in a directory, but with descriptions. DC includes a file viewer. You can "import" comments from another log file. A single "DIR-COM.LOG" file contains all filenames plus comments. "DC" displays in sorted order while "DCU" displays in "as is" unsorted order. A new "search" feature was added. |
|
  | Move To 2.52 | | mt is a complete CD replacement. It allows for the use of slash ("/") as well as backslash ("\") in directory names. The dot notation has been extended so "grandparent" and "great-grandparent", etc., can be specified. Partial directory names are supported. Previous directories are remembered. Directories can be saved and later recalled. And, of course, the drive can be changed along with the directory. |

  | Deluxe Dir 2.81 | | Deluxe Dir (DDIR) started ('92) as an experimental Pascal program which turned out to be quite a useful utility. It now serves as a directory lister which can be used as a replacement for the DIR command, as a file finder and as a file viewer (reader). Its main advantage is that it lists long directories in three columns of text instead of the one column used by the 'dir' command, yet showing the file sizes, which are usually quite important and are not shown by the 'dir /w' command.
In addition, DDIR contains many features such as: highlighting all the executable and compressed files, sorting the files by name, extension, size or date, moving all the subdirectory files to the beginning of the directory, ignoring the period-directory files, showing all the hidden and system files, showing Hebrew filenames in Hebrew characters and interpreting wildcards more efficiently.
DDIR has a detailed display which allows interactive browsing through sub-directories, viewing of archive file directories, file viewing and more. DDIR can also create report files such as a list of all files of a selected drive, sorted by size. |

      | delen106.zip - | | Enhanced delete with several practical options. Uses enhanced regular
expression style wildcards, can choose files according to date, time
and size ranges and file attributes. It can recurse through
subdirectories and also remove empty subdirectories. It can exclude
files from deleting, include them again, or completely reverse the
action: delete all except, etc. Can also read parameters from files
and environment variables. Long file name (LFN) and 4DOS support.
Special requirements: None.
Changes: Bug fixes.../S will now recurse into hidden/system subdirs.
Wildcard '?' match now correctly, including dot.
delen106.zip has replaced delen104.zip.
